Big Horn Valley

This oil painting was done on a stretched 18 x 24 inch cotton canvas. The painting is of a region in Glacier National Park, MT. In the background is Mt. Clements. The next mountain closest to the foreground is Mt. Oberlin. It was on top of this mountain that I proposed to my wife, so it has special meaning for me and our family. The flowers are glacier lilies, a common flower during early summer, in GNP.

Thought I would post the painting I am currently working on.  It is entitled "Romney's Fate", and I am very excited about it.  It will be the last for now in this series before I move back to doing landscapes. I hope the have the final product done in a couple of weeks.  I will have this painting available for prints, posters, postcards etc., on imagekind.com, fine art america and redbubble.com.

New Project #4

Here is the final update on my new painting entitled "Principal's office: Past and Present".  I put in some serious hours for this painting...It is a good thing I am on winter break right now from being a professor as this painting would have taken me months to complete otherwise.  It think it came out pretty well and I am going to try to sell prints, posters, greeting cards etc. of it on my various websites (Fine Art America, Redbubble and ImageKind).
